Putting the claim that fast fashion is "disposable" to the test.

Day 40: Travelling with my tiny Shein capsule wardrobe

This week I’ve taken time off work and and travelling round southern England visiting various friends and family that I really don’t see often enough.

What did I pack? Well, unlike the last time I travelled this time I was organised enough to set out with my tiny Shein capsule wardrobe.

One of the much touted benefits of capsule wardrobes, aficionados say, is that they take the stress out of packing for travel. If you have a well thought out capsule already, you can simply pack up the whole thing or (for shorter trips) select a smaller mini-capsule from within your existing wardrobe.

And yes, it was extremely easy to pack up my tiny Shein capsule, the whole thing, and no decisions had to be made.

The only issue for me is that I planned it for summer in Scotland, which really has been a cold, windy non-summer this year, and here down in England we’re in the midst of a heatwave with temperatures over 30C every day!

I long for a pair of shorts or breezy cotton dress. Instead, I’m in one of my polyester-heavy short sleeved tops, and either sweltering in denim trousers or nearly cut in two by the extremely tight waistband of the skirt.

Everything I wore on day 40 of the 90 days of Shein challenge:

SHEIN LUNE Eyelet Embroidery Knot Front Tee, white
