I’m just back home from 10 days travelling around the uk visiting family and friends. Yes, I kind of took my tiny Shein capsule wardrobe on tour and it (mostly) did the job. Except I was quite uncomfortable in hot weather, as I didn’t plan for the 30C upwards temperatures in the south of England when I was putting it together back in May.
Now I’m back home, its cool and rainy and I’ve discovered that I left several things behind. My wide leg denim trousers are currently in the post en route from Kent, where I left them, to Scotland. I’ve just had a call to say my trench coat is in Edinburgh. Where my leggings, grey socks, pink lace pants and colour block bra are, I have no idea.
The skirt is so excruciating uncomfortable around the middle — I was actually getting digestive issues it was so constricting — not to mention inappropriate for the weather, I’m now without any wearable bottoms.
I’ve had to get out a spare pair of leggings (which I was going to return as they weren’t a good fit) to wear until I find the original ones. So “leggings 2” has been added to the capsule spreadsheet. It’s a fail in terms of the challenge, but the only way I can actually continue wearing Shein for the full 90 days.
I’m going to have to resort to one of my existing coats if it rains too, as I don’t have a backup.
And there will be a lot of hand washing of underwear until I find out where that’s all got to!
